Garcia emonica.garcia@gmail.com <p><em>The use of digital media to promote local culture has become a new breakthrough in exposing local culture to international countries. In addition to being able to be immediately recognized in other nations, digital media promotion is also less expensive and quicker to implement. This study aims to determine the perspective of Digital Media Studies in Japan Performing Arts. The method used in this research is Krippendorff content analysis on Instagram @performance.jpa by using Japanese dance indicators which include Kabuki, Kasa Odori, Bon Odori, Noh Mai, Onikenbai, Nanazumai, Wadaiko, Arauma, Nihon Buyo. A nonverbal sign is a sign in the form of a picture or a gesture. In video advertising, the nonverbal signs are designed with the purpose to implicate a recommendation of the product shown. Therefore, it is suggested that using it as an object of research would be befitting. The nonverbal signs found in the advertisement will be classified into ten classes of signs through Peirce's semiotic theory. The result of this study is PayPay have many class types of ten classes of signs that contain the Firstness philosophy foundation. In PayPay, there is a total of five of ten classes of signs realized by 38 signs. The focus of this research is on classifying kanyouku using the word kuchi on the kotobank.jp website into the classification of the meaning of kanyouku. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used taking note method. The data found are 35 data which are empirical data. The results of this study show that based on 5 classifications of kanyouku meaning, in kankaku, kanjou wo arawasu kanyouku (感覚・感情を表す慣用句) found 4 data. In karada, seikaku, taido wo arawasu kanyouku (体・性格・態度を表す慣用句) 16 data were found. In Joutai, teido, kachi wo arawasu kanyouku (状態・程度・価値を表す慣用句) no data were found related to this kanyouku classification. In koui, dousa, koudou wo arawasu kanyouku (好意・動作・行動を表す慣用句) 15 data were found. In Shakai, bunka, seikatsu wo arawasu kanyouku ) no data were found related to this kanyouku classification. The meaning of kanyouku contained in the data source states things related to social life in society where there are individuals with various characters, emotions, activities or movements carried out by community members both individually and in small groups in it. This article aims to describe the using of the kinshi-kyoka modalities, namely te mo ii and te mo kamawanai along with a comparison of the functions of the two modalities. The researcher obtained data in the form of dialogue discourse on Japanese dramas, and a YouTube channel with the theme of Japanese language education. In analyzing, the researcher used descriptive method to describe the function of the kinshi-kyoka modality marked with te mo ii and te mo kamawanai. Furthermore, to find out the differences and similarities in the modalities of te mo ii and te mo kamawanai, the researchers used a substitution technique. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the modalities te mo ii and te mo kamawanai have differences that lie in their equivalent meaning, but have the same use, namely to ask for or give permission.
