Abstract

Setsuzokugo is a conjunction in Japanese used to connect sentences and/or paragraphs. To write senteces in Japanese that are in context and could be understood by the readers requires internal, external and paragraph structures. Setsuzokugo is a conjunction worn in Japanese used to connect sentences and/ or paragraphs. One way is to think about the use of setsuzokugo correctly so that it could be understood easily. Evenso, the amount of functions of setsuzokugo that are similar incur difficulties among students. Some results from the writing of the students are sakubun. In context of sakubun is when the use of setsuzokugo is not understood and is not executed well. But because of that, her study further discusses the forms of setsuzokugo misuse which include the use of internal, external, paragraphs and factors that influence the occurrence of errors. This subjects is the study of the Japanese language of academic of year 2016/2017 in its 5th semester. Universitas negeri Surabaya.The data are written in text of Japanese level chuukyuu one of eitht themes. The data collection technique was done throught documentation techniques, reading techniques, and note taking techniques. The data about tell factors causing the errors are collected throught FGD and quistionare. The technique of analyzing data is down by agih method and BUL technique. The results of the study shows that, the first forms of misuse of setsuzokugo intrasentences consistes of: Gyaku; ga / demo (1), Heiritsu; eyes (1), soshite (1), and Konpon; naze (1). Both forms of misuse of interfaith setsuzokugo consist of: Inga; sorede (9), dakara (3), Gyaku; demo (5), shikashi (4), Ruika; soreni (2), Heiritsu / Keiki; soshite (8) and sorekara (7), Junjo; saisho (1), Tenka; ja (2) item, Konkyou: naze (1). The three forms of setuzokugo usage errors between paragraphs consist of: Inga; soredakeni (1); sorede (3); dara (3). Gyaku; shikashi (1), Heiritsu / Keiki; sorekara (1), eyes (1), soshite (1), Junjo no saisho (1); saigoni (1); ichime (1); ichitsugiwa (1), mukashi ( 1), Tenka; ja (1). The factors area causing the errors teel first lack of knowledge or competence on the use of setsuzokugo. the second is the lack of sufficient assurance about setsuzokugo and the third factor is the lack of sufficiently related explanations about the use of setsuzokugo
