Student Attitude toward Chat GPT as Learning Aid Tool

Abstract

The developing of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is significantly across diverse domains, including education. A prominent application of AI that has gained widespread among students is ChatGPT. This study explores the student attitude regarding the utilization of ChatGPT as an academic learning tool. it encompasses students' attitude on the advantages and disadvantages with the employment of ChatGPT. Employing a descriptive methodology though utilizing of survey administered to 100 participants from English academic programs. The findings reveal that the student has positive attitude or 70 % towards the integration
of ChatGPT, particularly concerning the accessibility of information and the comprehension of intricate concepts. Conversely, approximately 30% of respondents articulated apprehensions pertaining to the information generated and the risk of plagiarism. it attributed to insufficient digital literacy and an overreliance on technological. Additional determinants that shape students' attitudes include their experiences with AI technology and their understanding of academic ethical standards. This study asserts that ChatGPT possesses significant potential as a pedagogical resource; however, its implementation must be accompanied by a comprehensive awareness of ethical considerations and the constraints of technology.
