Abstract

The research focuses on the portrayal of Miranda Priestly’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The researchers conduct a qualitative research using the movie script of The Devil Wears Prada as source of data. The finding shows that the portrayals of Narcissistic Personality Disorder experienced by Miranda Priestly are grandiosity, obsessed with fantasies, firmly convinced that he or she is unique, requires excessive admiration, feels entitled, exploit others for self-gain, lack of empathy, envy, and arrogant or haught. Narcissistic Personality Disorder has many effects on someone who experience it and interact with a narcissist. It brings people into successful or downfall. This paper aims to how to overcome and interact with a narcissist, so that the negative effect will diminished in affect the life of others.
