Representasi Perempuan Dalam Novel Layangan Putus Karya Mommy Asf: Kritik Sastra Feminis, Serta Pemanfaatannya Sebagai Latihan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to explain (1) the representation of women based on feminist viewpoints on domestic-household aspects in Novel Layangan Putus and (2) the use of analysis results as students' critical thinking exercises. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods from a feminist literary criticism perspective. The results of the analysis show that there are 10 feminist phenomena represented by the main female characters, namely: (1) open access to education, (2) the submission of premarital requirements as a tool to protect and empower themselves, (3) the existence of inequality in the system of division of labor in the home dominated by women, (4) lack of cooperation in childcare dominated by women, (5) getting access to business management, (6) getting access to work even though it is restricted, (7) there is violence against women, (8) there is a patriarchal culture described by men, in the form of subordination and marginalization of women, (9 ) The courage to speak out even with minimal feedback, (10) filed for divorce. The analysis results are used by making a critical thinking test instrument that contains the abstraction of feminist forms. With stages (1) making a grid of questions by paying attention to critical thinking indicators, (2) validation tests (feasibility), (3) test questions to 30 respondents, (4) testing the validity of questions using R Point Biserial with the results of 20 test questions, there are 9 questions are categorized as valid or valid, namely question items number 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 17. And (5) reliability tests using the KR-20 formula with a result of 0.68 so that it is concluded that the test instrument is included in the category of quite reliable
