Abstrak

The development of fisheries tends to increasingly lead to use without limits, technology that is not environmentally friendly has caused the status of fisheries resources to become endangered, one of which is the yellowfin fish (Thunnus albacares). This research aims to determine the catch in Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), the Number of Allowable Catches (JTB) and the level of utilization of yellowfin tuna (T. albacares). The primary data used in this research comes from interviews and direct observation. Secondary data used is production data for 2016 -2023 and literature review. The analysis used in this research is the Schaefer Model Sustainable Catch Potential Analysis. The results obtained for the maximum sustainable fishing effort (FMSY) were 1,248 trips/year, while the maximum sustainable fishing results (YMSY) were 2,151 tons/year. The total allowable catch (YJTB) is 1,075 tons/year. The results of the Schaefer model utilization rate calculation showed that the utilization rate of yellowfin tuna (T. albacares) was 166%, which was classified as Depleted or completely exploited
