Critical Discourse Analysis of Indonesia’s Diplomat Speech to Vanuatu on United Nations Charter

Abstract

This research deals with the study of Critical Discourse Analysis of Indonesia’s Diplomat Speech to Vanuatu on United Nations Charter. The objestives of this study were to analyze the structure of Diplomat Indonesia’s speech in United Nations Charter for how it creates emphasis, to analyze the speech in relation to the conventions and communicative aims, to analyze the verbal aspect of Diplomat Indonesia’s speech in United Nations Charter. To conduct the research, the thesis writer applies Critical Discourse Analysis theory by Van Dijk and used analytical qualitative research design.
