The Characteristics of General Zod's Megalomania in David Samuel Goyer's Man of Steel Movie Script

Abstrak

The research title is The Characteristics of General Zod’s Megalomania in David Samuel Goyer’s Man of Steel Movie Script. The study aims to find out the portrayal of General Zod’s megalomania. Using a descriptive method, the thesis writer uses a qualitative approach to analyze General Zod’s megalomania and obtain the data from the movie script. The theory used for the characteristics of megalomania is by Sigmund Freud. The thesis results are: 1) General Zod shows megalomaniac characteristics, which are narcissistic, ambitions filled with delusions of success, and exploiting others to get his own goals.
