PENGARUH PERBEDAAN UMPAN ALAMI TERHADAP HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN LAYUR (Trichiurus sp.) PADA ALAT TANGKAP PANCING ULUR (HANDLINE) DI PERAIRAN TELUK PRIGI, KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK

Abstract

Handline fishing is a fishing tool that in its operations seeks fish with high economic value, one of which is the seatail fish (Trichiurus lepturus). The right bait is one of the factors in maximizing catch results. Fishermen in Prigi, Trenggalek Regency generally use several types of bait such as flying fish and tembang fish. These differences in bait are the background for this research to find out which fish bait has the highest catch compared to other baits. This research was conducted in June elementary school. July 2024 by collecting data on the catches of Prigi fishermen using an experimental method with 16 samples taken for each bait at the same location at different times. Data will be analyzed using the independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant influence between the use of tembang fish bait (Sardinella fimbriata) and flying fish bait (Decapterus sp.) for the catch of Layur fish (Trichiurus sp.) and the bait that is most preferred and attracts more attention of Layur fish is bait using tembang fish (Sardinella fimbriata).
