PENGARUH PERBEDAAN LAMA PERENDAMAN RUMPON TERHADAP HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN PELAGIS BESAR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN ALAT TANGKAP PURSE SEINE DI PERAIRAN JANGKAR KABUPATEN SITUBONDO

Abstrak

Fishery resources are one of the most abundant fishery resources in Indonesian waters, especially in waters near the coast. Pelagic fish are fast swimmers and have a voracious appetite. This situation is used and exploited to catch him. Various characteristics and behavior of large pelagic fish such as skipjack, tuna, and tuna, which live in groups, can make fishing aids such as FADs in the deep sea that are planted permanently, so that it is easy to catch them with fishing gear or other types of fishing gear. This study aims to determine some of the catches produced by purse seine fishing gear with FAD collection tools from the differences in the immersion time of FADs between 10 days, 20 days, and 30 days. This research method differentiated three treatments and nine replications using a randomized block design (RAK), while the treatment determined by immersion of different FADs, namely: Treatment A: with a difference of 10 days of immersion, Treatment B: with a difference of 20 days of immersion, Treatment C: with a difference of 30 days of immersion.
