PENGARUH PERBEDAAN UKURAN ALAT TANGKAP MINI PURSE SEINE TERHADAP HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN KEMBUNG (Rastrelliger spp.) DI PELABUHAN PERIKANAN PANTAI TASIKAGUNG REMBANG JAWA TENGAH

Abstrak

The activity of exploiting fish resources in these waters is highly developed using various types of fishing gear, fishing methods and various catches. One of the fishing gear used by fishermen to catch fish is a mini purse seine. The purpose of this study was to determine the number and differences in the catches of mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.) in the mini purse seine net lengths of 200 m and 400 m. This research was conducted at the Coastal Fishing Port in Tasik Agung Village, Rembang District, Rembang Regency, Central Java. The research method used is descriptive and experimental methods with data collection methods including primary data and secondary data as well as data analysis with the t-test. Mini purse seine consists of several parts, namely nets, buoys, weights, rings, and rigging. The stages of operating the mini purse seine in Rembang waters include determining the fishing grounds,  lowering the mini purse seine fishing gear and hauling nets. The total catch mackerel on the Mini Purse Seine net length of 200 m was 5.020 kg with an average catch of 313.8 kg and on the Mini Purse Seine net length of 400 m, namely 8.930 kg with an average catch of 558 ,1 kg. The results of the analysis of the t-test treatment of the Mini Purse Seine fishing gear with net lengths of 200 m and 400 m with 16 repetitions for each fishing gear on the number of catches of mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.) were not significantly different.
