Abstract

Irrigation channels in rice fields in Mejoyo Village use surface irrigation. The condition of the existing channel is still simple to make without planning or calculation. This is considered less effective because it can cause the water to flow more than the desired discharge. During the rainy season, the water in the channel often overflows into the rice fields due to the high rainfall. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the existing channels and the rainfall that occurs. The purpose of this research is an analysis of rainfall, and calculation of flood discharge plan. This research uses the Arithmetic Mean method for rainfall analysis, Log Person III, and Rational Formula for design discharge calculation. Next, identify irrigation channels including channel dimensions, and channel discharge, and the last is to design channel dimensions. Based on the results of the evaluation by comparing the Channel Debit and Planned Debit, 3 Channels can accommodate the planned discharge within 25 years, while 5 Channels are still unable to accommodate the planned discharge. Therefore, it is necessary to re-planning so that the channel can accommodate the planned discharge.
