Analisis Implementasi Kebijakan Penanggulangan Stunting Di Kabupaten Situbondo Tahun 2023

Abstract

“The Situbondo district government was serious about tackling stunting. This was done because stunting had many negative impacts which include impacting on the level of intelligence, susceptibility to disease, reducing productivity, hindering economic growth, and increasing poverty and inequality. Malnutrition occurs from infancy in the womb and in the early days after birth but only appears after the child is two years old. availability of proper drinking water, as well as family parenting patterns.”

Etymologically the notion of implementation according to Webster's Dictionary comes from English, namely to implement. In the dictionary, to implement (implement) means to provide the means for carrying out (provide the means to carry out something) and to give practical effect to (to have an impact/effect on something).

Stunting was a disorder of growth and development of children due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections, which was characterized by the length or height below the standard set by the minister who administers government affairs in the health sector as quoted from the Regent Regulation Number 45 of 2022.

The method used in this study was a qualitative research method. Qualitative research was research that was descriptive in nature and tends to use analysis, process and meaning were highlighted in qualitative research.

The results and discussion of this study are that the government has succeeded in implementing stunting prevention policies in Situbondo district by synergizing with OPD and all elements of society. So that there will be a reduction in the prevalence of stunting from 2022 to 2023. In 2024 there will be a change in the stunting policy target, but there are still around 3 villages that are still being targeted.
