Penegakan Hukum terhadap Modus Kekerasan Berbasis Gender Online (KBGO): Deepfake Porn AI

The rapid development of AI poses numerous threats and harms to society due to the use of this AI technology. AI has been able to interpret human personality, thus becoming a concern for society. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze how online gender-based violence is regulated by law. To identify and analyze law enforcement against online gender-based violence (GBV), also known as AI deepfake, in Indonesia. This research type is normative legal research. The approach used is a statutory approach. The analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that AI deepfake porn is a new form of online gender-based violence (OGBV) that combines artificial intelligence technology with the aim of damaging the reputation, privacy, and integrity of victims—particularly women—through visual manipulation that appears to depict them in pornographic scenes. Indonesian laws and regulations provide a legal basis for prosecuting perpetrators of deepfake porn, although they do not explicitly mention the term "deepfake": law enforcement against perpetrators of AI deepfake porn still faces various obstacles. The lack of substantive norms regarding deepfake technology can create illegal uncertainty, ultimately weakening victim protection and complicating the pursuit of justice.
