Jurnal Studi Komunikasi, one of the journals published by Faculty of Communications Science Dr. Soetomo University, was established in January 2017. Jurnal Studi Komunikasi a double-blind peer-reviewed journal, explores critical and constructive inquiries into a wide range of fields of study on Communication Science that include culture, religion, media,communication technology, gender, public policy, development, environment, disaster, and tourism, with emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches: Communication Studies. It addresses issues with multi-perspectives view. Each volume of the journal discusses a specific theme based on “Call for Papers”, through which scholars, from diverse disciplines, are invited to contribute. Jurnal Studi Komunikasi published on March, July, and November. All of the article in this journal registered with unique DOI, provided by Crossref. We are proudly announcing, Jurnal Studi Komunikasi also indexed by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal). Jurnal Studi Komunikasi also supervised and member of Asosiasi Penerbit Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Indonesia (APJIKI) -  Association of Indonesian Communication Science' Journal Publisher.

Jurnal Studi Komunikasi, a leading of new paradigm discussion on Communication Studies in Indonesia and Southeast Asia welcomes works that are theoretically informed but not encumbered by jargon. It promotes a comparative and transnational sensibility and seeks to engage scholars to develop a new perspective of Communication Studies.
